Well ive heard around that you can get a 'starwars calais cluster' im not sure if that is the 'official' name or not. But its basically the type of cluster that lights up on the speedo from 1 - 200 say like in the old 'night rider' tv show. Its like a bar, and gets bigger and bigger the faster you go. Does anyone know what im talking about? I also heard that the 1988/89 magna had it as an option as well.
Well i have a V8 series 2 VL and i was curious as to if they come out with the starwars cluster. As i would like to put one in.
If they didnt come out with the V8, how hard is it to modify the cluster to work from a 6 cylnder to the V8 cylnder? Like the water temp/oil pressure/tacho. Is there any difference in the speedo itself between a 6 and a V8?
Also if people have heard of the starwars cluster, is that the correct name?? And what kind of price would i be looking at for one??
Thanks guys
Charles.
I presume your talkin bout the electronic dash, i think that they were only in VKs and didnt last long cause they were really bad.
Thats all right, thats ok, I drive a commodore anyway!!!!
Yeah VK's have them and some guys have put them in their vl's. I'll find a link and pictures and put them up.
Looks tacky. I'd much prefer a series 2 calais cluster.

The '89 Corvette I went in had it. Looked cool. Yes, ALL 1985-91 TM-TP Magna Elite's had it standard, don't know about optional though... Also, the (specifically) 1984 Subaru's had it standard across the range. Nowadays, look for it in the Suzuki Liana.
At some stage when I was younger, one of dads old crappy Falcons had one. Looked appauling. Like everything else in the car, it fell to pieces.
