    Default whats gone wrong

    my car was running perfect except for a miss at idle when in gear. didn't drive it for 2 days now it won't start. cranks over fine. theres no spark from coil lead though. changed coil but still no spark. could it be the CAS?:b:

    Yeh sounds like CAS, you can check it with the codes 4 the ECU even if it won't start...
    I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    the ecu was showing the fault code weeks ago when i checked it. could it be a fuse? its too dark to check now, don't have a torch.

    I would check that first and any related connections, I cant remember if there's a relay 4 the ignition ....
    I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    just replaced the CAS. the car starts but runs like a dog. it has to be at full advance just to idle. but it won't do anything BUT idle. plus because its so advanced its spitting fuel into my headers and cooking them. maybe i should reset the ecu?

    What things did u do to replace the CAS???

    yay....i fixed it. the manual said to line up the marks on the dizzy gear and housing, but in doing this it places the rotor above the number 1 cylinder contact, i removed the dizzy and put the rotor down abit so the marks were a little out of alignment and now the rotor fires on the 1st cylinder properly. now it doesn't need to be advanced at all. I reset the ecu to be on the safe side too. yay for me
