    Default Is It True?

is it true that on the '86 model the exhaust ran under the axle housing where the 87 - 88 ran over the top? if so can you put an 87 -88 exhaust on an 86 model? when i got my lukey system off a mate at repco he said that there was that difference. thought this might help anyone with an 86 if some answers come through.

mines an 86 and it goes over the diff. dont think theres enough room under it to fit the exhaust, you wouldnt make it out of your drive way.

mines 86. The stocko factory exhaust ran over diff.
I also have a LUKEY exhaust and it runs over the diff. And i went to several different place to check out what exhausts were available when i got it, including several lukey suppliers (which is what i went with) and never was told of one that went under. I just had a look under and there is no way it could mate. Tell him to show you his catalouge. and then smack him upside the head with it. LOL

Nope. AFAIK all live axle cars have the exhaust going over the top of the diff. IRS cars go under the drive shafts.
