    Default 90Ltr fuel tank????

i was reading a old street commodores mag to day and stumbeld across a vh sl/e witha big tank,
a 90Ltr of a vn, it didnt spesifi what model what it was off and i wondering what model came with them and would it be possible to fit on to a vl as i gather the suspension is the same set up and the tanks are the same (stock VH-VL).
as it would be ideal for a thirst turbo or v8, (which i have pland in the future)

Some VL's came out with long range tanks, you might be best trying to find one of those.

well it would be a lot hard sorcing one of those tanks over here, but is there any ways to tell if a tank is the long range tank compard to stock (60L) like marks or stickers? bsides looking at it,

ive found the 90Ltr tank came on the Sedan (V8) of the vn series so that would be easyer to get then the long range,

so any have a clue if it bolts straght in and if i need to change the flote and internal pump (if there is 1) to a vl spec pump?

Get a drop tank like a v8 supercar 120lt. they are around a grand or so. Brock commodores had bigger fuel tanks for homologation.

If ya do get a drop tank, make sure it's done by the book, and take it over the pits to get the required permits for it. They stick out like dogs bollocks so the cops might hassle ya. On that note however, they look the bomb.

avoid drop tanks they look like crap.

wait til you get your "big V8 or turbo" conversion. i think youll be shocked at the fact the fuel use isnt dramatically different.

I went from a long range tank back to a standard tank, and my fuel economy isnt really that bad.

I would get about 400km per tank.

The car has a few mods, but I dont thrash it all the time either.

I contemplated it, but I think its more trouble then its worth. I don't use that much fuel to begin with. It'd be going off before I knew it.

    haha, nice one..

nah even with my old car I was filling up once every 10-12 days. I wouldn't want the fuel sitting there any longer then that.
