Default Giving your beast a birthday

it occurred to me today that im not very good at washing my car, polishing etc. what stuff do you all use for these activitys.

i use turtle car wash, and the polish with the little viking man as the logo (armour all?)

whats the best way to get bugs and shit off the front of my car after the get baked on?

and how to deal minor paint blemishes where its been chipped?

    and cleaning windows.

Don't know bout the rest, but the best thing for cleaning windows, is a bottle of windex and some newspaper. Spray the windex on and wash/wipe off in a circular motion with the newspaper until it's dry. Do both inside and out. Takes a while, and kills your arms! but the result is perfectly clean streak-free glass. You might need an old sponge or something for the little stubborn spots.

Hmmm, never failed for me! I know there's some product, i can't remember what it's actually called, but it's like a polish for glass. My dad's missus uses it, that also works well. Looks great if your windows are tinted, makes em look brand new!! I think it also removes the tiny scratches from the glass. Expensive stuff, but from what I've seen it's worth it.

And speaking of windows, if you have TINTED windows make sure you use a TINT SAFE cleaner or BYE BYE window tint..
I use Turtle Wax window cleaner..
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

was about to add that. i always use windex on the outside with newspaper, but wouldnt subject the inside tint to that.

In terms of washing the car, short of the full treatment, if it gets a quick wash ill always shammy it dry to stop water spots. not as bad on white but still see it if you dont sham.

to get the bugs off you could try bug remover in a can from any auto place
or if you want to try a bit of petrol on a rag wipe the area and then immediatly clean with water and clean cloth.
the petrol used to work with my old VB commy and never had a problem with the fuel eating the paint.
now i drive a VS and have a car bra so no more bug splats
if the bra aint on i make sure to clean them off before they dry and bake themselves on.

WINDOWS:yes window cleaner is good but you can also use vinagar and water mixed together and use newspaper as described earlier.(dont recomend for tinted windows)

And if you do use petrol, spirts, turps ect.ect it takes your polish off so re-polish those bits straight away..
