well the most likely couse of ur over heating problem would be a fault in your cooling system (radiator) your radiator could be blocked by dirt and crud in the system,

the best way to figger this out is but flushing the system, take the top and bottom hose of the radiator and hold a hose pipe in the top, water should be able to go out the bottom at the same speed it enters at the top and flush to clear water exits the other end, if it has problems doing this and starts coming out the top where ur entering it, you can presume its blockd
and a new radiator is needed or a radiator specilest might be able to unblock it

if the water flows free thought the radiator then turn the pipe on to the pipe which is connected to the thermostat and flush the motor, flush to clear water exits the other end. if it has problems then it could be internal or thermasta might be sezing

BUT rember that if you do this u will have to refill the hole system with coolant and DONT FORGET TO BLEED THE SYSTEM or you could crack your head, (this happend to me because the bleeding valve shered off)

squeeze your hoses. if they are soft then they may be sucking shut and restricting flow. for the radiator......if there seems to be heaps of crap in it then do a flush or take it out, lay it down and put coke in it, shake it around a bit, let it sit for a while, pour it out. then repeat process a few times.

Even with a blocked radiator removing the thermostat will allow plenty of water to circulate throughout the system , even though on a fuel injected car you should never remove the thermostat as it plays havoc with the computer readouts and excessive fuel use. I'll bet the car has a blown headgasket on the exhaust side and the exhaust gases are super heating the water and I bet the water is being spurted straight out the radiator cap openning even before the water heats up. You should be easily able to have the vehicle running with the radiator cap off and no water boiling over the outlet top. If you can't run the car with the cap off then a blown headgasket is for sure!!! Whats called a TK Head check diagnostic tool would confirm. Good Luck!!! As they are an exspensive job to do!

Why not take it to a radiator place and get them to test the temp it is running at?

At operating temp mine sits a fraction over halfway and my whole cooling system has been replaced or overhauled so consider it normal.
