respray ideas
i'm going to get the car resprayed in a few months by a guy at work and we're debating what to do. i'm still going the maroon and silver two tone to save hassles with engine bay and inside doors. but want to give it some extra BLING. he reckons a gold pearl over the top to give it a candy apple effect. i want to darken it a fraction and put something over the silver. can you put glitter in clear coat or only base coat? Should i put a black or white base down before the maroon or just tint it? ideas people please.

put down the black base id say if u want it dark......hmmm i gold pearl would look alright. and u can either put a glitter in the clear or base if u want......id probably sudgest flow coating it aswell give it that real deep shine

Yeah the gold pearl goes well with maroon I have seen it before and was quite impressed with how good it looked.

another guy at work reckons the gold pearl over the maroon. but paint the bottom half gold with a maroon pearl so it swaps colour in the sun.

Yeah I like that idea maroon over gold, Try a photoshop and see if you like it, will definately be different. I don't think I've seen one with the bottom section gold, only champagne.

the guy at work mixed up a sample. NNNNIIIICCCEEEE. the maroon with gold is awesome. and with the silver we're going to put a red pearl over it. looks great too. yay for me....will still be a few months off though D'OH.
