    Default Misfiring?

Dont know much about misfiring, but i think i may have a case of it.
When the revs are relatively low (especially on take off) the car is jerky until the revs hit about 2500. Is this misfiring?
It was serviced only a few weeks ago, but i forgot to mention it to the mechanic and he must not have picked up on it.
How do i fix this? is it my leads?
I have no idea how to do those computer tests so dont tell me to do those.
    What else could this be?
    Thanks all.

start by looking at the distributor head and rotor which may just need cleaning inside

Does it sound like a V8? thats what happened to mine it was running on 5 cylinders minr was a broken lead and that caused an injector to die and my distributer cap had hairline cracks in it.

Could be the Dwell Angle Sensor playing up also.
It is located internal of the Distributor. Cost around $150 from Coventry's $200 plus from Auto Electrician.
Involves complete dismantle of Distributor to replace Sensor.
Can have this tested by Electrician

How old are your spark plugs. They might need changing or the gaps might need resetting they should have a gap of1.0mm if it is wider it can cause surging at low revs.
