ECM lights

Hi

I was running the self test on my ECM and now that i am done i have noticed that the lights no longer come on. I have returned the switch to its original position (which was roughly in the middle). I only checked it because once when i was driving with the passenger side kick panel off at night, i noticed a light came on when i accelerated etc.

Its an RB30 n/a 5spd man

I'll check the book later and get back to ya. The lights (I thought) should only come on when in self diagnosis mode.

My thoughts exactly but i am 100% certain a light came on. From what i remember (been a while since i drove it with kick panel off) the red(??) only came on when i wanted more power. Coasting it went off.

It might be some kind of full throttle indicator. I know in an auto that when you plant it in economy mode it kicks into power mode for a short burst and a light on the cluster comes on. Might be something like that.

You could be spot on with that assumption.

Only it came on regardless of how much i opened up the throttle.

It does not bother me whether it comes on or not. Just wondered if it meant something was wrong.

Just wondering if it was cause today when i noticed it i was only reving in neutral and not driving it like i was when i noticed it at night.
