i was talking to a windscreen bloke the other day about this and he said you can put aftermarket rubbers in. there is a hole in the top two corners which need to be filled though before hand.

Hey bex, i've seen vn screen rubbers fitted to the vl. Very nice. I was going that way myself until i ended up with the whole car! It gives a lot cleaner appearence but it does leave a slight gap in the top corners. Easy fixed if you are still in primer.

i had the rust on front n back..
jus get a screwdriver out and hack at it, then bog it up. then get some sandpaper n make sure theres no rust left, then get some rust-killa prima, then quick respray.. lookz like new..
jus went qreckers and got some seals, had no problem since..
thank god im getn rid of my vl
I wonder what those scales on the top right side of my posts do...
