Thread: Air/fuel ratio gauge????

    Default Air/fuel ratio gauge????

    hey guys i bought a the gauge to go on my calais turbo and i hooked it up as per the diagram and the signal wire onto the white wire on the o2 sensor as it says but it didnt work is this the right wire or should it be on the other ones??

    sound right to me

    if memory serves me right (and i hope it does considering i was fault finding my o2 sensor this morning) the purple and black are power and white is signal

    but other than that i dont know much about those guages so i cant be of much more help

    Well the purple is power, white goes to the ECU signal and black goes to earth..
    I can only see 3 wires..
    I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    on mine there is only three wires a purple black and a white one and its on the white wire i dont know y its not working, the o2 sensor is brand new. i have seen how they work thats how i new it wasnt working maybe the gauge is stuffed

    i installed a a/f guage on a subaru liberty, 3 wire and 4 wire sensors are heated meaning they will work with in a minute of firing the engine where as the single and 2 wire are not heated and have to heat to 600F before they register, maybe your problem could lie there or like me guage moves when power is applied but does not move the way it should

    The oxygen sensor on a vl takes a couple of minutes to warm before you will get a reading. I put one on mine and it worked. The white wire is correct.

    I sold mine as soon as I no longer used the O2 sensor.
