I had one on my VL, it used to go up and down like crazy.
did you put it on the right white wire as there is 2 isnt there/???
Well the purple is power, white goes to the ECU signal and black goes to earth..Originally Posted by vlct400

on mine there is only three wires a purple black and a white one and its on the white wire i dont know y its not working, the o2 sensor is brand new. i have seen how they work thats how i new it wasnt working maybe the gauge is stuffed
cheers guys
i installed a a/f guage on a subaru liberty, 3 wire and 4 wire sensors are heated meaning they will work with in a minute of firing the engine where as the single and 2 wire are not heated and have to heat to 600F before they register, maybe your problem could lie there or like me guage moves when power is applied but does not move the way it should
The oxygen sensor on a vl takes a couple of minutes to warm before you will get a reading. I put one on mine and it worked. The white wire is correct.
I sold mine as soon as I no longer used the O2 sensor.
