What Should I Do Next??

Back to the point i have a 1988 commodore berlina Vl with a Rb20 e
i know small engine but im a student and the fuel prices r over whealming,

so im doing up my car slowly but surely.. so far i have

1) Replaced air box with poddy,
2) Put a big bore exhaust on, 4.5" outlett,. i dont recomend this, as the commodore has two baffled muffles and they take one out, its just a bit to quiet for my liking, but if they took other out itd be illegaly noisy.

as i mentioned im student so not much money, what should i do next,

my first ideas r
1) 17" wide as mags, old school alloys, deep dish, just so i dont get sucked into the new school japanese tuner ways.
then compress my springs to sit nicely over my new weels. any other ideas or any imput would be much appeciated

Toughie mate! Depends what you're after really..

If you want to go that extra bit of comfort you could mix and match some VL Calais bits, but since you've already got a Berlina I don't think you'd really be interested in that. Maybe making the interior your own with a custom colour scheme across the insides is what you're after.

If you want some extra performance, maybe some extractors would go well with your exhaust.

If you want some looks, the rims sound like a good idea, maybe a bodykit or some outside parts from another model of VL (walky, SS etc.), lower it (compressing is OK, but don't give into temptation and cut the springs, they'll fall out and hurt the car big time).

If you want some added safety you could get some V8/VL Turbo brakes, would help you to pull up quite a bit better.

thanks for ya help, nah in nz ya cant drive fast enough to upgrade the breaks lol well i will when i get my cop radar lol. nah im not guna cut them ill hire a compreser, any 1 know of any cheap as place for getting mags and tires like 500-700$ im sorta looking at 1s a bit this style
