    Default getting a supply? ?

Just want to know how i would go about getting a power supply only when the car is turned off (so connecting to the battery is a not preferable sort of thing)? ne1 with ideas.

I just want to connect up a flashing light to make it look like i have an alarm...dont really want to pay the money for an alarm as i have fire and theft insurance and getting rid of the car later this year.

Hi I have seen fake alarm light kits and I think they run from their own battery, 9 volt of something. I'll look into it for ya. The cig lighter only works when the car is on or acc is on so no joy there.

Just get a 12v flashing LED and connect to two 12v supplys (YES YOU READ RIGHT) one goes to power thats on all the time and the other to power that goes off when you turn the ignition off..
The LED has 2 legs to attach the wires, 1 is longer than the other. The longer 1 is positive and the shorter one negitive , connect the positive to the power that stays on, and the negive to the power that goes off when you turn off the engine. Cost about $3 bucks and 5 mins to do..
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!
