What do you hate?

OK. If you're like me you absolutely LOVE your VL. But i'd like to know what things, big or little, that you hate about VLs. Preferably by people who own or have owned one. I'd write something but i can't think of anything right now.

The weird controls on the dash for the windsceen wipers etc. And the grid background on the guages. That's about all really... Oh and the headlights on the indicator arm. I've lost count of how many times I've indicated and accidently turned the headlights off!!

the plastic dash panel over the cluster, once it comes of its fekd, it vibrates on ruff rounds like hell and pisses me off, the high rise center console top conpartment my old man snapd the pin/striker/locking clip thing off and i cant get a new 1 with out getn a whole new console

lol same problem with dash bit over the tacho lol.And the fact that all my screws holding on the rear number plate are fecked and when doin bout 60 k's it vibrates and flaps about lol

i hate the plastic bits around the front windscreen... they vibrate at certain speed and it gives me the shits... i need a new windscreen anyways so ill get the rust cut out ( another vl problem ) and get the vt rubber put in... no more vibrating. yay

The plastic door moulds cracking. Might remove them soon. And i hate that they are so good and popular that people want to steal them.

I hate:
*drivers window open, seatbelt flapping against B pillar in the wind.
*cheap plastics used have not aged well.
*whole back of my car rattles from my sub (despite my best efforts).
*head units don't fit properly (you know what I'm talkin about LOL)
* The mess of wires around the selector under the center console (looks rushed).
*occasional chassis twist under extreme cornering (sideways)
*exec and SL non turbo get rear drums (how am i meant to stop? LOL).
*very light in the rear end (corners best with people in the back).

There are more LOL But I still love my VL's baby yeahhhhh

I have that rattle too. Pisses me off. Stupid cigarette ash trays that fly off the arm rest when you close the rear door.

lol all of the above...

I used to name the noises after the speeds... ie the 80k's noise (usually selt belt flat against door pillar) & the 70'k noise & the 100k noises etc... lol

So all the noises & yeah the blue grid didnt look right with most interiors, cept the cerulean & blue interiors. With red was the worst!

also the lil plastic bits over the bumpers... breaK so easily.

Also no intermit speed changing on the wipers.... sucky....

Out of everything i hate it most when the drivers window is open and the seatbelt flaps in the wind. the cheap plastics that have not aged well eg. window rubbers that are noisy as f!ck when on the motorway.how head units don't fit properly, and how the demiter fan etc controls are tempramental and the freaky electrics.
after all that though i'd never get rid of my vl in a million years. love it.

There really isnt too much to hate about my SL.

Ok when its cold it carries on like a bitch, but other then that I cant say the problems its had has ever changed my like for VLs.

I would gladly own another one, I love them that much.

I guess you could say, I cant stand people who always bag them and call them pieces of sh*t. I know they arent the best cars in the world, but they definately arent the worst and I feel as if alot of people bag mouth them just for the sake of it.

That and a Nissan engine in a Holden doesnt get much popularity points with alot of people.

i hated the fact that when it was cold it sounded like a small desiel truck, so i put bore and poddy on, most of all i hate the exterier door trimmings how the glue always comes off and when ya open the door the trimming hits the panel behind the front wheen and makes a big noise lol. ive tried everything, profesional panel beaters to glue it bak on, no more nails glue, super glue, and hot glue. at the moment u shoved racing tape on it but looks shocking

AH yes mcdee. i hate the fact that there is never going to be a new VL. and dont say there is and that they are the vn, vp vr vs vt vx vy and vz because you knwo its not. the flimsyness of it is the worst part. the interior really is very shit. but you grow to love it. unfortunately my baby has to go but. so ill just keep on loving it i guess until. like the FJ, they bring out a new vl that i oculd never afford in my wildest dreams. oh yeh and i hate the ****s that bag it. there like yeh baby i got a brand you civic that my parents payed for. and its not 20 years old its like less than that old. which some how makes it better. so i can bag yours because it was the jewel of its time and now its not so much like that any more. duh.

Some of you ppl winge about the littlest things, hehe. Maybe when i experience driving something different i might start to hate the vl's, noo that'll never happen. But i do have to say i ride in a very rough vl, the things you gotta do/sacrifice to make it look good. Seat belt flapping in the wind...mine only happens with both windows on that side open...interior mine is brown, brown is the same colour as shit, and i love it, the colour that is. (not shit, lol) grid cluster not a problem at all i could never understand y people bitch about it so much. I hate the weak plastic, cuz it vibrates up and down alot when going over bumps and plastic sides fall off (the dash and around that is) and the outside kinda, i broke my front bumper and cant get the same colour replacement. The boot vibrations yes, it does sound like shit outside the car but it can be stopped, gotta get off your ass ucwepn, shit! so do i lol. Drums hmmm disc would be better but you can paint more with drums. Rust is a big problem, i don't think ne1 likes rust, but everyone remember, money fixes EVERYTHING, well maybe not. (some smartarse will take the time to think of something stupid to prove me wrong, well DON'T) But one thing that i don't think ive seen above that i hate is when you pull up to a servo, and you want a full tank and have to put your ear down near the tank to hear how full it is cuz, it CAN hit the bowser.

the plastic bit on top of my dash fall completly off, snapped and yeah grrr stupid thing, but i got the fixed and now no rattles. i hate the windscreen strips and platic bits above the bumper, cos they keep flying off........

and also does ne one else have diferent colourd ashtrays in the back, i cant seem to find the same colour as my interior. which is grey and the ash trays are bright blue...

the fact the first day i drove it on my P's the arse end desided to go round the round about before the front end. (scared me, but most likely that was my driving in the wet LOL)

i think thats about all. all though most of the time i hate my car cos its costing me money, i wouldnt rather be in any thing else atm i stil think they are the sexiest commy...

the only thing that i hate about my vl a the moment is that i left a few screws out of the dash and it rattles...apart from that i dont have ne rust problem, or broken plastic, and my head unit definately fit in perfect...perhaps i am being nieve?
