    4 Sure mate

Better sound and better torque, but you wil have to make modification to your exhaust

Do you want New or Used extractors thats another question..

I put hurricane headers on mine when i had it. Gave it a fair bit more torque and they just bolted strait up to the cat converter no mods neccessary. The reason i put mine on was to stop it breaking manifold bolts off in the head. I was told that the factory manifold distorts when hot which breaks the bolts off and extractors wont .

Yeah ya gotta get extractors if you've got a sports exhaust for the "full effect" otherwise you only get the noise increase coz the manifold is restrictive. I have pacemakers and they make a noticable difference. Its the heat sheild thats breaks the studs due to heat getting trapped under the sheild..

hi mate, it wouldn't be extractors that you would be getting, you would get headers wich would cost you around $250-300. extractors are very highly tuned and would cost you quite alot of money, because you have to get then custom made.

i have headers on my vl and yes they do give it a nice note, so i say go for it!!!!!

Well the common term for them is extractors anyway. I think you are thinking of "tuned length" extractors which as you said are custom made and very expensive. Headers and extractors are the same thing.

if the engine is a 6cyl for eg, there would be 2 sets of 3 pipes that are the same lenght (thies are call headers).

if your had true extractors all of the six pipes would be the same lenght.

But yes headers are commonly called extracters. (because headers work in the same way)

i got confussed ther, u said that headers woud have all 6 pipes the same length, then you say the same thing for extractors?????

and wouldnt the front pipes be longer then the back pipes as its got to reach to the back near the gear box where the rear pipes just got to travel down to the box?

I think he meant that each pair of pipes on the "headers" are the same length.

On tuned length extractors they make the back pipes longer, so they all end up being the same length.

    yah i knew that,
but the headers/extractors run out on a angle, so for the front pipes to be the same as the rear pipes they would have to bow out wards to give the distance in the pipes as the rear
