Default turbos need more frequent oil changes

for those with VL turbos, remember that the handbook says you need to change the engine oil twice as often as normal, that is every 3 months under normal driving conditions

I found the oil fllter very difficult to remove, due to lack of clearance for the wrench handle finally a wrench with a handle that folds out made it possible but not easy, can anyone get their oil filter off and on easily?? In the old days they had a nut type thing on the back that you could put a spanner on

I would still like to know how bumpy the ride is with theharder FE2 suspension, fitted to most turbos, anyone been for a ride in a turbo and an ordinary VL?
It seems that VL turbos may eventually become classics and may be a good long term investment, dont know if the later conversions will qualify though

finally, if adding a turbo, get some insurance quotes, assuming you can find an insurer who wants to know you

    Default

I do the same, An I also do my transmisson oil every 6 months.

I have a custom plenum on mine and now it is quite a mission to get the oil filter off.

I am considering going for a remote filter system.
