there only 1 fuel filter its underneath on drivers side at the rear infront of pump, just need a srewdriver undo the clampy things on the hose.
Dunno how 2 clean the tank out but as long as u keep replacing the filter u shouldnt need 2 thats what its there 4.

I know what you mean about diry tanks, after 20 years of filling her up there will be lots of sediment on the bottom of the tank, thats why you should never let your vl run below 1/4 of a tank too as well as for the health of the fuel pump. If the tank gets low the pickup may collect the sediment and depending on the state of your filter some might get through and block the injectors.

perhaps the part that allows removal of the inner fuel pump could be removed, its low down on the tank
the rubber fuel hoses near the tank should be replaced or they will eventually burst, as happened on mine

I put in some metholated spirits occasionally to mix any water in the tank with the petrol
its said that running the tank down to near empty can overheat the internal pump which relies on petrol around it to keep it cool

in the old days, petrol tanks had drain plugs, so did auto trans sumps....

are you puting higher CC injectors in? if so put a bigger fuel pump in as well. you'd be best to take it to a professional and get them to steam clean the tank and replace the pumps and the hoses at the same time. My old boss decided to drain his fuel tank and he had a heater nearby.......blew the shed up with him and his brother-inlaw in it. And i do mean BLEW IT UP......KABOOM!!!!
