I believe its from VB-VP that are all the same. what springs have you got in there now? just go with fe2, thats what i'm gonna do. Fitting is usually cheap at a tyre shop. shouldn't cost more than $100

Damn kids and their superlows LOL. Your lucky, in VIC you have to get the complete roadworthy certificate to get a defect removed. Thats why us VIC people are careful (mostly) LOL

    Good luck with it.

The strut top bolts are gonna be TIGHT and have to be torqued up tight again afterwards. A mate snapped a bolt once while adjusting his kmacs. He wasn't happy. Just pay to get them fitted. or get ya mums BF to do it for free

Ahh good luck getting your VL through Regency. It cost me a mint to get my VN through, they are very very picky and the inspectors are told not to let people through first time. The guy even admitted it to me, but he sent me to a police station the second time rather than go back through Regency.

They got me for little things like the steering wheel cover having some give in it etc. And my rear reflectors didnt reflect enough which was bullsh** because i have checked and there is no law on how much it has to reflect.

    They check absolutely everything.

I don't know about NOT letting u through 1st time, I went through 1st time in my OLD HK wagon..
It was my RUFF 2nd car - you know parts getter, tow car, wardrobe and furniture mover, (Hand painted) AND yes they do check everything..
It's all basic safety stuff, if ur ball joints are stuffed or Chassis rusted or cracked and ur seatbelts are frayed your not going to get passed!!!
Brake test machine checks each wheel and handbrake too, if u have spray tinted lenses or coloured park lights also u won't pass..
Not being smart I went through 1st time and it was the full works test, I had 2 minor things I got let off for - they where handbrake works fine but it's travel needed adjusting and I had 1 spot light on the front, he said get 1 more as it must be two of them or take the single 1 off...SEE YA MATE...
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

Well an inspector has told me that he's been expressly asked not to let people through the first time. & they certainly didnt just do basic safety stuff on my car...I came out with 6 defects, not one of which was really a safety issue.

hey you could go to a wreckers and get the whole strut tower and just put that in then you dont need a compresser etc just undo the bolts at the bottom and the top and then it will be easy to lower it again.

its not a 6 hour job. what have u been smokin it takes about 2hours 4 both sides. u dont need a ratle gun but it helps a lot because the shock turns .
