what colour!!!

project car ready to paint cant decide on a colour , originally white. Two tone? will it suit a 1987 vl or just a nice colour with a pearl? or back to white nice clean colour? help!! :b:

hmmmm its your car and you have to drive and look at it. I reckon white with silver along the bottom is classy.

White is too ordinary, nice but ordinary. Dark tailights maybe bright car, not fluro...yuck...seen to many deteriated fluro vls, go a nice metallic or pearl, lighter colour stands out more but whatever your favourite colour is. One colour looks better than 2 tone even if its a calais. Even White with a pearl looks nice.

Also should pick a colour 2 suit your surroundings, like i park my car on dirt everyday so i don't want a black car.

I am either going metallic cream vl calais on it's arse with 18 chromes, or sparkly silver pearl with group A kit maybe airbrushing.

no matt black looks good on old hot rods and stuff but not on a commodore that's my opinion anyway i think it looks like it's only half done or something you want it all nice and shiny.

As for colour.. something bright, but something custom if you can afford it, sick of seeing hothouse or another hero colour on older cars

Hmmm please dont go white, white is the most common and boring colour on any Commodore, new or old.

I reckon like a dark maroon or a dark blue.

You could always go gold, like mine.

Alot of people dont like the colour of mine, probably because they're not used to seeing a gold 2 tone SL, I personally love the colour, as its something I dont often see on VLs.

Those white vls look nice, but if i was to paint 1 white i'd put a blue pearl through it. Maybe Red. Dwpends if you want it to look like a tough car or a clean car, which is it?

No interceptor blue, thats a horrible colour, in good nick or not, its bad.

Maybe a metallic, pearl can cost a bit, metallic something, i dont know what, i like a deep metallic blue

white looks clean as on a vl i just bought me self a clean white 86 model Vl grey bumpers ceptors non turbo i reckon they look clean as but yeah put a pearl like gold or somethin up to u

id go dark royal blue/black pearl...yeah thatd look sweet like a black but with a tinge of blue so when u see it on angles it looks blue..oooo yeah
