    there are 2 of them
i for the ecu and the other for the temp gauge, both from a holden dealer for about $30 each
maybe non genuine from elsewhere cheaper perhaps?

if the ecu one quits, then the engine always thinks its cold and uses more fuel

I cant remember which is which but there will be no engine temp gauge reading with that wire off
beware of hot water spurting out if removed with engine hot

the ecu temp sensor is the one with the two pin plug, the gauge is the single wire.

well the car is runnign alot smoother now b4 it was missfire when it got to operating temp (half way on the temp guage) and really had problems accelrating under load between 1500rpm to 2200rpm

dont know about fuel usage as off yet
but it was drinking a fair bit over recent weeks that its got worse
