removing vl axles

hey i snaped a axle tonight and started pullin it out un bolted the 4 bolts on the drum and droped the backing plate off and droped the oil but the shaft wont come out and help would be great

They can be hard to get out, try putting on the spare wheel and you then can pull on the wheel to pull out the axle..

reverse drum on studs, so lining is facing you.
put 4 backing plate nuts back on till threads are showing through, so there's a bit of play in the drum.

sit facing drum and yank towards yourself *NOTE, MAKE SURE CAR IS SECURE AND ON AN CAR STAND BEFORE DOING THIS AS IT'S NOT SAFE TO DO WHILE ON JACK AS CAR MAY MOVE AND FALL IF ON JACK*

be safe while doing this, as it can be quite dangerous. but it's the only way i got my axles out.
