hey, i'm beggining to hear some bad things about shell optimax. What do you guys think the best fuel going around is? im running it on optimax so im after another 98 octane fuel, what is your suggestions?

Guys I worked at shell in Geelong a year or two ago and often saw BP tankers filling up at the refinery... Couldn't tell you what they were putting in... But would definately say they buy fuel from shell from time to time.

Pretty sure there's only a shell and mobil refineries in Victoria. I'm guessing BP ultimate is optimax or the mobil equivalent rebadged?

I've used Shell Optimax since January this year, and never put anything else.
No problems, car runs perfect.

If I owned an NA VL, I would just run it on regular unleaded.

I cant see premium making much of a difference to it.
