what is NITRON
several early illustrations of the VL show a large badge that says
NITRON above the electronic injection badge, but Ive never seen a nitron badge on a VL
any ideas??

Yeh they were made by hdt and sold to melbourne call yards. Only 100 made i think. They had crappy standard sl/exec interior, brock wheels and brock bumpers and skirts i think.

if im not mistaken, they were all a shade of red as well. (probably wrong though)
the one for sale is RED. it looks like a base VL with the brock group A rims. i had a VL calais so i got a soft spot for the 3litre 6, but for $19,000 i would rather get a real group A......

i know that aussie V8 classics are selling for insane prices these days. the Nitron has no street cred and not worth 19,000. HDT badge or not.

I disagree with these guys that don't think the Nitron is worthy. They were an impressive looking car when they were new, Very distinctive in that red. I would prefer one over most HSV's being a bit oldschool the HDT sticker is more impressive to me than HSV is

ultra rare HDT turbo car. didn't come with air con either i've been told.
A real group A will set you back around 70 plus grand no comparison buddy
