    Default Fuel issue

    Greetings Commodorians,
Pressure not builing up in tank. Should it ? Engine bay smells fuelly but no obvious leaks.Harder to start cold, otherwise runs fine, bit heavy on petrol.Tried changing caps(new One). No difference.Any ideas out there?
    Cheers Groucho.

im not possitive but i think there isnt ment to be any presure in the tank as it runs off two pumps a high presure pump(inside) and a low pressure pump(out side) to suply the fuel

how many ks u get a tank?
as for usage could be a few things causing exessive fuel usage, AFM, o2 sensor and temp sensor, if these are old and not working well tehy can cause the computer to make the car run rich causing execcive fuel usage and possible the reson for the petrol smell

get a mate to drive behind you and look for black smoke from exhaust which of course means its running rich
its normal for the inside of the tail pipe to be black, BTW

remember that all the rubber hose parts of the fuel system are about 20 years old so plan on replacing them with the correct high pressure fuel hose, buy a metre of it
