thats a big ask, $3000 would be more likely for a private sale
look at the trading post, also VLs are now being dumped, some in surprisingly good condition, watch for sales of siezed dumped cars

I doubt you'll ever see a non turbo non v8 VL for sale for over 2 grand, I could have bought a decent VR berlina for 2.5 a few months ago
