try a bent piece of wire with a rag or cloth on the end...just bent it accordingly to where u want to clean...while attempting to run a hose through it at the same time...i think we used a screwdriver one time...
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
    PM with any info.

Go to the safeway and buy a brush for cleaning babies bottles, make sure its a decent one tho because the $1.50 ones will fall apart LOL.

when i worked at holden we used to put a handfull of nuts and bolts it it with a small amount water. cover the hole up and shake the sh:t out if it. empty the dirty water out of it. Do it again if you need to. MAKE SURE THE BOTTLES ARE IN GOOD COND AND NOT BRITTLE.

on my VL the plastic cracked, allowing all the water to leak out which eventually caused severe overheating, needing a reconditioned engine, the owner didnt believe in checking the temp gauge or any water levels

thats what i did, metal coat hanger with a old sock duct taped on, worked a treat but the plastic is like a staind yellow from its age, any thing i can do to make it whiter????

i cleaned the out side of the bottle with a old tooth brush and some whiting tooth paste and it cleaned it up well, got all the dark marks off and it smells fresh

Ya can paint them as well, colour of your choice haha I'll let you choose. I'm gonna do mine but wanna see what colour i'm gonna paint my rocker cover first and do the bottles to match, its not like you can really see through them anyway aye.

Also thinking about a hose sleeving kit but need to replace a few hoses first so I know they wont need to be replaced.

squirt a tiny bit of morning fresh in there (lemon optional) some water and a handful of sand and do your best tom cruise '****tail' impression.....worked for me.....that was a few years ago, but now i'm old enough to just buy a new one....

    CLR

Calcium, Lime, Rust. Thats what I've always been told.

Even a minor dose of acid and water + gloves, give it a quick swirl.

The nuts and bolts and water sounds brilliant. They do discolour easily though, mines been sitting downstairs, brand new, and its discolouring already.

I cleaned mine with hot water and ball bearings. then shake. mine was grubby and slimy (about 10-13yrs of build up) so i sprayed degreaser and used a bottle brush. then rinse out a few times with hot water. came up like new, but slightly discoloured.
