id wanna know how you can be sure its a voltage problem... what test have you done?

ive had to clean the dissy out before, clean the contacts and replace the rotor button. the lead could be the problem, try another one. also, the coil could be at fault, they are positioned in such place that they get too got and play up.

at least you can check those things first (assuming youve not tested anything else)..

    Question

i had a similar problem with my vk v8, had no spark at all tho! we checked the coil by wiring it up direct to battery and seeing the spark, found ok, changed the leads ( old anyway ), still no spark at engine, tested wiring ( battery to coil, coil to dissie ) and found breaks in the positive wire from coil to dissie, replaced positive wire, car started and ran fine but wouldnt drive under load and died again, no spark, checked negative wire to dissie and found dodgie connection and breaks in wire, replaced section of negative wire and now everythings "A OK". i reckon you may need to check the wiring to to coil and dissie, old cars, wiring breaks down after time!! hope this mite help ya
