    Default oil sensor

    well ive got a question mark over the working of my pressure guage,
    i didnt wanna hi jack a thread so im going 2 ask here

    when my engine is hot or cold the gauge runs at max, and neva drops down, rb26dett says its not wired up right or something but its factory dash and the sensor is off a berlina from the wreakers, it was same b4 i changed the sensor what could it b

    I'd say no reading not connected and hold the wire against metal and it should read max..
    I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    It it stays at max it means the gauge is getting power to it but it is not connected. As the car warms it should get lower and lower to the point of when the car is hot it will not read very high at all.

    so any solutions to this prob? would it be my wiring at the motor or behind the dash?

    and to get it straght, when i start the car it gose straght to max presure(when cold) then car gets to normal temp and its still at max, dosnt even move at all wont go down or anything

    yep near the oil filter, screws in and has a cable plugd into it

    contact cleaner hay? is this a spray as there is no way to get at the cables contacts as its got a plasic sleave around
    and the sensor i highly dout it as it was doing this before i changed sensor

    Do u have an electrcial gauge? if yes then maybe a possible chance the gauge could be faulty? Mechaincal gauges are so much easier

    If you have the oil sensor and the gauge connected, is this possible? i thought it was one orthe other..

    start by cleaning the muck from the sender and electrical connection to it, it screws into the block near the oil filter
