    Default Side Skirts (Door Trimming)

Just a question... Do you know where I can get replacements of the side skirts (door timmings) for my VL? I have tried wreckers but they dont have them because they crack so easily due to the hard glue that they are stuck on with. Bee to a holden dealer and can't get the part I need.
    Help and advice greatly appreciated

which ones(doors) are you after, as i may have a couple spare.

by door trimmings i assume you are referring to the plastic ridged ones halfway down the door........

have you tried looking up "vl door moulds" on e-bay?

They are exactly what I am after but also the little bit that goes near the bonnet, next to the door. I am after the passenger side back door. And the passenger door little bit near the bonnet, if you know what I mean.

ahh ive see people call the guards, 1/4 panels so many time. ive tryd to be quite about it and let it slip but it then confuse me on what part of the car people are acutaly talking about, not having a go at you personally or any one but just wanting to clear it up

1/4 = rear of the car as it is rufferly a 1/4 of the cars length,
guard = at the front of the car as it guards the wheel from damage

fair enough, for me it's just like the whole front/rear bumper / front/rear bar thing.

I have heard people call them front 1/4's before and I just bite my tongue LOL.

You are after door moulds. I was chasing one recently and found one on ebay that was the right colour and all. They are a pr1ck to remove let me tell ya haha. find some that are off the car then just silkaflex or silicone them on.

(they are silkaflexed on from the factory as well as double sided taped)

i just bought a brand new centre bumper and the 3 moulds that run along the top and around the side. Cost $130 but well worth it as the top moulds are impossible to find and remove in unbroken condition. My local wrecker ordered them directly through Holden.

Holden haven't had them in stock for years, The ones I got brand new are made in Taiwan and the side bumper moulds don't fit properly but the center one fits ok. There is also a company in bayswater VIC that make them I think they are called plastic revivals or something like that.
