hey just wondering if anyone out there particularly cluey in the art of photoshop could do a chop on my car in a colour or couple of colours so i can see wat its gonna look like when i get to painting im thinking silver with two blue stripes or vice versa heres a couple of pics

I still don't know how you can use paint to change the hue? somebody please explain that for me.

mate do something different im just wantin to see wat it could look like ur right is my vl ...and i wasnt thinking full red car like silver car with a red stripe wide one going over the whole car ....just to experiment ...

haha gungazza there is 3 or more way's to do it there is the

HARD -sanding down your car and then imagining how you wanted it then trying to explain to your freinds your thoughts lol

MEDIUM- in microsoft paint cutting and pasting bits of the colour ....still not getting the colour right and hard to keep in the lines

Easy - medium difficulty photoshop takes time i think .... i cant be bothered learning it

Very easy Ask ur mates who are cluey to do it for you

1. get adobe photoshop

and this is only one site with tutorials theres lots of others around to

but you need photoshop first

You don't need photoshop to do colour changes and basic cut/paste layer jobs.

I use Microsoft Picture it, for a long time I was using the 95 version doing colour changes in a matter of minutes that a few of my mates that are PS keen said were pretty good. I've now upgraded to Picture It 200* something, and its exactly the same, for only 40 dollars or so its well worth it. For Example

Step 1 Open Picture - Higher the res the better


Step 2 Trace your outline, be sure to remove any things that aren't getting changed


Step Three: Well, thats just the final part of step 2: Removing door handles, aerials etc, glass, wipers if you didn't go around them first go.


Step Four: Change Colour: Use the sliders on the left, along with your Saturation, later change the brightness/contrast to suit.


Done, That was a 5 minute job. Can take more time to do the outlines exact.

You just give me some examples and I'll match it as best I can.

Metallics are easy, because your car is metallicish to begin with. I can pretty much only do whats already there.
