CAS Crank Angle Sensor Help please
ok ok i finally got everything fixed on the vl as i found them one by one by the help of some of you from my previous thread so here is the new problem, i fixed everything and the car was stalling everytime theres no acceleration in stopped position and its blowing alot of black absoloute crap out the back of the exaughst so it finally has back pressure. we ran the diagnostics last night that i didnt even knew i had, anyway it came up with 4 out of the 6 possible codes a vl can come up with 21,14,23, the other one i forgot but one is crank angle sensor one is airflow and one is speed sensor the other is the idle position now the speed is false reading as car wasnt moving the airflow may need too be reset but its new and the crank angle sensor IS the problem as you all said it might be so 1 how much are they and 2 is it worthwile getting second hand one instead or is it waste of time?

don't get a 2nd hand one FFS. buy one new and get the plug for it too.

i dont see a second hand one as bad, if you are offerd a replacemnet warrnty i would take it, i was offerd three month replacemnet warrent with my dissy so i took it, and i am happy so far,Originally Posted by bangers

ok 70 bucks upwards sounds good but one thing is still tearing me up and its not the weather, what does the crank angle sensor look like? and will i get those cheap prices here in queensland?
