vl compter what is it?

what it the point of the other cumpter thingo in a vl. there is the main eng/gearbox one but what it the other black plastic one used for??

both my computers are silver/metal. 1 for eng and 1 for auto g/box.

where is the one you are referring to located?

yes there are 2 ecu's one for the engine management and the other is for the jatco automatic. They are both located inside the car and both are either silver or gold coloured. The only black plastic thing I can think of is the fuse relay box under the bonnet right in front of the passenger side.

there is a plastic box under the steering column which is for the standard alarm

the black box is bolted up inside the drivers side kick panel with 2 plugs going into it, from memory its the control module/box for the window wipers.
