Default Best way to remove heater hoses at firewall

My brother has a vl and the heater hoses are leaking at the firewall, although he's pretty cluey he asked me to find out the easiest way to replace them.
If any one here has replaced the hoses could you tell me the best way to get to them?

To replace them, the hoses that run from the firewall to the engine?

I'd drain the coolant, remove the clamps, rip them off and take them into repco and say I want these. VL commodore heater hoses and they'll look up the computer/book for a match, then they'll order them in.

Use some pliers too, come in handy if you need to break the seal, around the hose, squeeze and twist while pulling on the hose.

On the inlet size theres only one extra hose that comes from the front of the block and goes all the way around the block.

But thats not shown on that diagram. So theres no difference

i did mine last week, they were original ones and the clamps were all rusted and it was a shit of a job. hard to access but you just need patience while undoing the clamps. hoses are only about $6 each (02-0131) and some clamps
