hey guys my mate has got a chip that boost a vl up 175kw do any ov yous no how much rufly it would be worth
for a turbo or NA? There is no way a chip can boost a NA to 175kw. If its for a turbo then thats only 10-15% increase from stock so there are plenty of chips around that will do that. price ranges up to @ $400.
yeah that would be the turbo one they can be up to $600 or more. for the na you'll only get up to about 125kw with some of them going for $100 (dodgy ebay style) or about $300 for a more reputable one. or more if you want a chiptorque custom job
dodgy ebay style what u mean? just they alter the fuel usage causing it to use like a truck or just quality? and 127kw at the flywheel u got 2 b jokingOriginally Posted by snake_VL

chips alter the timing advance and fuel mixture maps, so if the person who did the mapping of the chip is not respectable and you don't know if they know what they are doing then who knows what you are getting. they may be advancing the ignition timing too far causing detonation or the engine may run lean, who knows. i have all the software to remap the chip (check out the lost tuning info thread its all there) so if i had the appropriate hardware i could create a chip and sell it on ebay tomorrow if i wanted. and i could do anything to the maps and claim whatever i wanted. so yeah you need to be careful
the claim from chiptorque is 8-10rwkw gain and powerchip claim 125fwkw, 127fwkw and 131fwkw for the different levels of chips they offer
