VL berlina, how much $$

hey guys, lookn at buyn a VL berina with an RB30, has done about 280,00. recon trans, gd paint white ova silver, calais interior with no rips, tinted windows. everything else is stok berlina features. there's no rust or body damage atall. just wondering if sum1 can giv me a rough idea wat it would b worth seen i dont no a lot about VL's. the guy's askin $3000. wat u pplz think, ne help would b great, cheers

3 sounds fair, try and talk him down, but three sounds fair depending on what it looks like. maybe 2,500.

3g i think is a bit much for a car that has done close to 300,000 i tyr get it for bout 2200-2500 then that would be a bit more reasonable....
But if the car is in really good nic and has been garaged all its life it could be worth the 3g.....

not bad if the calais interior is mint thats worth over $1000 it self, check for rust in the boot under the rear window most vls get it there.

depends where you live... ive seen vl's up here in the paper for 2-4000 and they still don't last that long, its like they are hard to get a hold of, dumpped, mags, exhaust and it p plater material baby.

Pretty much the same as my car. But I haven't customised the boot and my rims are 18", I also dont have a sub yet. But I wouldn't let my baby go for less than $6,000. So it obviously ain't going anywhere

6 g for an exec, u must have paid a bit for her. I was thinking about 3+g for mine. While i was on low earning wage the car just cost money and more money now its all fixed and earning more money i want another car now. It does have rust, tint is stuffed, lookin at gettin it fixed on warranty (7years old) and has been written off. But people are selling grubbgy old camrys and corrollas for 4 g and busted vs's for 3, so i don't think im asking too much. 18" chromes would look awesome on this car, u would not see much tyre at all.
