Yesterday i ran my car dry of fuel, i have put half a tank of fuel in tyhe tank and when i got to start it, it will start for a bit hit the gas and i dies, we have tried banging the tank for the pump but where is the fuel filter i brought a new one but carnt find it...
thanks
VN Wagon,
this can be caused by a faulty air flow meter, check the plug and that the sensor isnt dirty
the fuel filter is under the floor in front of the petrol tank, whilst under there check the various rubber fuel hoses for any kinking or signs of rot, these hoses will eventually burst, remembering the high petrol pressure
allow a while for the fuel pressure to drop before undoing any fuel hoses or you can get sprayed in the eyes![]()
