I didn't know there was such a thing, might have to do some research on this lol. I have recently added a custom metal intake pipe from the TB to the airbox and have picked up a noticable amount of power over the rippled rubber/plastic pipe. am trying to decide which way to go with a CAI without cutting the body as others have done.

I don't have the net on anymore but will try to get some pics up one day as well as the dyno sheet (before intake pipe mod, prolly got more KW now)

Ummm not much really, 2&1/2 catback with muffler and resonator fitted, pacemakers,K&N panel filter, rear mesh removed from afm. That 104.6 rwkw run was when the car was playing up too, coz if ya don't already know ultratune epping screwed me big time by not changing the plugs that are under the intake manifold when I got it serviced there and I went back a dozen times with the same problem and they replaced $1000 worth of parts and the problem remained *not farking happy*. Enter the legends at Bresciani racing (John in particular) who understood how badly I had been screwed over and fixed the car and really looked after me.

Since then I have fitted the custom pipe as mentioned above and there is a heap of power there when I run premium unleaded. (smokes most v6's and keeps up with some 5 litres). I want to get another run done soon with the new mods and hopefully I should be in the 115-120rwkw range and then I will be happy at that (for a while LOL)

Yeah it was really a find of luck and coincidence, I was at u-pull-it (pick a part for those who have it lol), and happened upon the pipe, bought it for the princely sum of $6 painted it and fitted it. I still need some more silicone connectors and clamps and to paint the other section of pipe. but need the car off the road for 24hrs to do this. The pipe is 2&1/2 inchs in diameter and has the spot for the line that runs to the intake as well as the clips that hold the leads on, Heat soak is not a problem like I thought it could be which is great. Its not pretty atm but I'm gonna get there soon hopefully lmao. Any exhaust shop would make you one on the cheap and then its just a matter of polishing or painting it.

Cheers Mag I thought there was something up with my front suspension LOL must get that looked at when I feel richer.
The hose you have circled is just a vent/breather and runs from the rocker cover to the intake pipe, it in no way affects the running/power/smoothness etc it is part of the emmisions I think its called positive crankcase ventilation or something. will replace it with one of those K&N breathers one day. The one that runs from the intake manifold to the intake pipe has been moved to just in front of the TB.

HAHA told ya its not pretty ATM

yah cheers for that looks like im going to be heading to the exhaust shop when i get some money and get some 2.5inch piping with 2 45degree bend, one for exhaust tip and other the intake, then find a adaptor for the hose and weld it in
lets just hope i can get it to fit up with out needing to cut it near the bend and use a silicone adaptor as i would be hating it, i want it to be one piece.

Yeah one piece would be shmick as, I'm happy with my silicone joiner tho, looks trick imho and allows movement when the engine moves. For the fitting just go to pirtek then get the exhaust shop to weld it on for ya.

The struts tops are ok, you can see alot worse if you look at engine bay pics around here, You might get another 100,000ks outa those ones before they are in distaster shape

i dont know about a one peice pipe, the engine moves and rocks on its mounts and the air box doesnt, i think the silicon is a good idea.

    also!!!
dont drive your car around with the r/cover breather hoses off, it will coat your engine bay in a film of oil... and i'd imagine very annoying to clean

im going to be having silicone at both ends, throttle body and afm ends. wont have a silicone connector near the throttle cable though,

and was thinking of doing the same route as ucwepn, a little filter on the breather, do u reackon this would stop the engine getting caked in oil?

Yeah no oil caking and had it on for about 2 weeks now, come to think of it I didn't get any oil spray from the cut hose that was there either.
