well im wanting to try and solve a problem and this poped to mind, i have got some stock front springs and was wondering if they would be safe to use in the rear?
i am trying to discover a cheap way around not having to buy a adjustable panhard rod for a short time, also with out spending much.
i have these springs sat around the side of the house and was wondering if it would work or would i best go to a wreakers to try and get some cheap springs?
and with strut tops i just got some adjustable ones fitted and was wondering is the top where the bolt is, is that ment to be centre or to the back? as mine is towards the back of the car where my old standerd tops were not as far back, what is with it?
cheers

what brand strut tops are they? did you have the front end aligned by someone?
the front springs are a different size altogether to the rear, so they wont fit.
save the money on buying springs from the wreckers for new springs in a height you want and a adjustable panhard rod, its worth the wait.
well the strut tops are nolerthane adjustable tops i believe, got them for 30 bucks second hand and were still in good contion
the front end was not aligned but it was done to the mechanics best abilety (which seamed close when driving) he said best i get a alignment and camber set up as it will shread my wheels up, so that will happen saturday morning most likly when rims are fitted
the problem is i am getting 18s for my birthday and there getting fitted on saturday, they will rub with my springs i have currntly how in the rear (kingies low) i do not have the money for a adjustable panhard rod so i was going to buy stock springs to raise it till i could afford the adjustable panhard
and cheers for the front springs and rear info, thought it wouldnt happen but was just making sure

you dont need a panhard rod dude, your car isnt gonna b slammed!!!! waste of time, good day sir
yes he will. even if the tyres don't scrub he'll still chew out his unijoints quicker cos of the angle if he doesn't have an adjustable panhard rod.
with a lowered car i'd put in a strut brace too. i know of a few instances where the shock has pushed through the top of the tower and hit the bonnet. also where the tower welds have torn away.
