Hey guys, just wanting your opinion.
I own a 1988 vl gold holden commodre. Just wondering how much it would be (roughly) to get it resprayed gold.
also, do you know anywhere i could get door moulds for the passenger side and the front quarter panels. tried the wreckers and they didnt have any and holden do not make the part im after.
you're looking at atleast $5000 for the paint job. try cardiff commodore centre for those moulds.
if hes doing it the same colour a closed door respray would be cheaper than that surely!?!?
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
i've been told $2500 in 2 pack and another $600 on top of that for door jambs etc. you really shouldn't be paying any more than that i don't reckon unless you want it to be show quality. people will try to charge anywhere up to $7500 but you don't always get what you pay for. i was at a mechanics shop once and he was prepping a torrie for a respray, said it was a $5000 job and from where i was standing he was doing a shithouse job just on prep. so be careful
You could get a respray for 800 dollars if you shop around.
You get what you pay for - best bet is to go shopping for weeks. Look at the quality of the work coming out and find out how much those people paid.
At the end of the day though I'm finding alot of spray shops don't want to spray a car for a cheap cash job because if your not happy with it, it ruins their rep.
I'd say around 2-3 grand, closed doors/ closed bonnet, same colour.
i reackon ill just do my wagon myself... it dosnt matter if it dosnt look a million bucks as long as it is fairly good plus the satifaction of doing it myself... i have had a bit of spray painting experience so its not as if its my 1st attempt
