something ive been wanting to do for a while now is get some rear head rest set up in my car.
so i was wondering would front head rest work? or dont they pull out at all?
i possibly can get my hands on some front head rest too,
my rear seat is good and i am wanting to keep it, so is there anyway to get the head rest legs though the trim with out needing to retrim the whole seat?
would just cutting though work?
and finally the brakets for the legs, anyone got any pictures on them as i make a pair of them up
cheers

i wanna do the same thing to my wagon should look sweet as... free bump![]()
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
I'll post some up when I get home tonight. If your doing it with your own seats I reckon its possible that you could make them yourself.
Your using SL seats? Or berlina, something without head rests in other words?
Your going to have to cut the hole in the center, and then trim out a fair bit of foam from behind where they go. Best bet is to line it up without the seat in there and have a look at where you'd want them to sit.
For the brackets we had a rough idea going by probably the same picture your looking at, then we just crafted up a few bends so they kind of looked like an D, then we welded that to the back panel. At the moment it isn't going to work properly as I have the wrong clips, but I'm guessing it could be held in with hose or anything, zip ties.
Go hard son
The seats already have the foam cutout for the brackets to sit.
You just need to cut the holes for the head rests to go into the seat.
You can fabricate up brackets or buy secondhand ones you will need the retaining inserts as well ([shameless plug] which im selling a set of)
There is a howto on the brock commodores forum on fitting the brackets, you should weld the brackets, if not use the Stork metal bonding glue its Australian Standards approved and will glue the brackets on well.
Else weld a piece of steel tot he back of the bracket & bolt them to your car.
