    Exclamation tacho dash

    me and my mate put a tacho dash in my car today becuase i have a crappy lil tacho screwed in the dash from the previous owner. we left the one on the dash connected and to test if the revs on both the tachos were synchronized. the one in the dash is reving yet not keeping up with the motor?? the tacho isnt sticking or anything? does anyone know wat it could posibly be???

    maybe having 2 tachos running off the same current will make them both run slower. Just connect one at a time and then let the engine idle and see if you get the same result rather than having both on.

    i would think that the factory tacho might not be as responsive as an aftermarket one... but running two at the same time could be the problem...
    Just my 2 cents worth...

    My tacho in my old dash use to idle below 1 on start up, i pulled the needle off and moved it up more to 1.. now it idles right, but i dont have that dash anymore..

    yeah im only running the stock dash one, maybe its just how they move slow the the vl hahahaha... j/k they go aight

    vl's should idle approx 700 rpm and you should be able to stand a 50c Piece on the Rocker cover and it should not fall over..... Perfect
