Hi guys,
I am looking at buying a 5.0 V8 VL Berlina that has had the factory airconditioning removed for two reasons - 1) the car's seller tells me it didn't work anyway and 2) the car has a fully detailed/minimalist look happening with basically the engine and not much else under the bonnet.
My question is this - who can I speak to in Melbourne to obtain a quote to fit air con back into the car?
The seller tells me he has the condensor and it appears the evaporator is still in the dash but everything else under the bonnet is gone so I would need to have a compressor, receiver/dryer and associated pipes supplied and fitted and the condensor refitted.
Any recommendations of where to start?
Thanks heaps,
TEMPA
You seem to have everything covered bar maybe a belt and a few other little things.
It all depends on whether you can do any of the work yourself, if not I would hunt up the parts myself and see how much it is just to install them. You could save a lot of money that way.
I'm not in Melbourne so I can't recommend anybody, but just ring some auto electricians that specialize in A/C and get some quotes.
Ebay is a good place to look for the parts.
