gday guys and girls
my mother in law has a vl and recently the fuel tank has been making a bubbling sound. then when releasing the fuel cap it also has a lot of pressure built up in the tank. the fuel hoses have been reoplaced around 2-3months ago by a family member.
I suspect that some of the hoses may be wrong, does anyone have a pic of the fuel system that they could send me or a link to where I could get detailed pics of the tank and where the hoses should go. Also any suggestions of what you think it may be.
Thanks heaps
Jason
PS I have searched but could not find what I as looking for.
theres a line that goes from the engine back the fuel pump so that it always covers the fuel pump. you could have air in the line going back therefor making a straw sucking kind of noise inside the tank, is that what it sound likes?
ide say just take it to the mechanic.
Sounds like a fuel pump may be on its way out.
theres an evaporation hose system that can be looked at by removing the flap behind the tyre near the fuel cap, this hose eventually often rots
