The spare tyre location in the boot of my car fills with water whenever I drive it around in the wet. There are a few holes in the base of the spare tyre spot, but not that much water should be able to get in there.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Is there anything I can do about it?
Cheers.
probobly coming in throught back window or tail lights
haha welcome to the world of VL's problems... out of my 6 vl's 4 were sedans and all of them leaked threough the boot and rusted out the spare wheel arch... check you boot rubber for corrosion thats usually the problem... tailight do tend to get water in them too but dosnt seem to go into the boot, just fills up the lenses and rusts out where your bulbs go also is there much rust under your rear screen?? also a problem for boot leaks... jump in the boot with a torch and get someone to hose ur car to find where its getting in... and no you dont particulary have to trust the person outside to get out because you can open the boot from the inside![]()
