my VL slowly loses auto trans fluid, Im told this shouldnt happen
Ive looked everywhere for signs of fluid leaks, including the pipes to the cooler in the radiator but cant see any signs
any suggestions?
guess Ill put in a bottle of auto trans leak stopper and hope for the best
back of the box where tail shaft seal is, could be leaking onto shaft and spraying everywhere
just a thought

I had a look there but no fluid, it seems to be leaking out so that it doesnt cause any fluid stains under the car
the only place i can figger it would go is either into the raduiator where the built in trans cooler is or possibly its burning it off.
how much is a little bit, like half gone on dip stick over few weeks or days?

the cooling system water looks the same, if it continues to leak I will time it
eventually it gets so low that the trans misbehaves on accelerating
Modulator is leaking.
The oil is being sucked up into the inlet manifold.
thanks, I will try that, is there any chANCE THAT SOME AUTO TRANS CONDITIONER MIGHT FIX IT IF ITS THE PROBLEMor do ai need a new modulator? is it difficult to fit or adjust? I have another VL auto for parts
I got a new modulator and beat the price down to $50, put it in, about a litre of fluid came out
it was losing about a litre per 100 miles but not that much exhaust smoke, will need to take a long drive to see what happens
