I found a 87 VL Calais with the rear bar missing and it needs a taillight. The guy has done the sound system done it it. Lowerd, Mags, Silver respray. Its an auto though. How much do you think and would it be worth it, to get the car and then convert it to an manuel. How much would that be with all reconditioned parts??? I am selling my VL SL at the moment. The guy only wants $2,300 for the car. Any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!

THANKS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! I will probably get that car now. Seeing as i have the directions to do it and a person with the parts. I only have one more question about the whole thing. Will a 2 1/2 Pacemaker exaust cause any problems with the car? Its pretty much stock as a rock other then the aformentioned mods...![]()
no 2.5 will be fine![]()

did the conversion about 6 months ago, what a pain in the a$$ lol, was worth it in the end i spose. ur gunna need a obviosly the manual gearbox and crossmember, clutch slave and master cylinder (slave should come with the box anyway) manual spigot bush, manual tailshaft OR the front half of a manual shaft, the rear half is the same as auto. umm pedal box, flywheel clutch and pressure plate. i think thats the essentials. the other stuff is like the manual console peice, the metal peice that goes over the gearbox tunnel (we just cut/modded the auto one) and the other stuff is getting your wiring right, ignition starter wires and your reverse light n stuff. Its on this forum if u look hard enuff![]()
