you can do it like you said with one smaller turbo and one bigger...i think the rb26dett it set up liek that
thanks mate i didnt know if the bigger turbo would make the smaller bypass its limits at the hi revs with big boost causing premeture wear or damage or if itwas even posible

i thought rb26's had two t28's the same size.. i would like to see someone do it to know how it went. it can't be a bad idea.
and no i don't like your big red writing.. lol
running two diffrent sized turbos is possibly, bmw have developed a new car which is twin turbo running two sizes, it was designed to have no lagg. it makes 300hp i think if i recal correct

actually when you think about it, with a twin setup you don't need overly large turbo's so the lag wouldn't be as bad as a larger single setup anyway... just ahve to be choosy with your turbo selection
i am running a TRUST T88 its but takes heaps long to come into play

shortening your intercooling plumbing can make a big difference. getting an a/m plenum that faces foward straight to intercooler then to turbs gets rid of a lot of plumbing and also lag.....
