hey guys just another question what are vl turbo's like in auto ?, next yr i will be on my p's and want to if 1. they r legal to drive on p plates in victoria 2. are they much different than driving a standard vl and 3. do they have many problems ?
cheers
They are like any other auto car.
They should drive very similar to a n/a VL
They do have a few problems.
I reckon you should get an N/A for a first car mate.![]()
Enough power and pretty reliable too, but like any car have their problems.
Hmmm definately a N/A
i dont wanna c a vl turbo wrapped around a pole with a bloody p plate on it
what a waste. Basically too much power for a novice Ha
Good luck
Carnt say i have owned or driven a auto vl turbo,
but i own 2 vl turbo's and im on my p's and i love them, but i started with a camry, then a vn then the vl's. Great car's wouldn't trade them for the world
VN Wagon,
Dont know but a VLT is my dream car... Tho i will be getting a manual not a crappy auto. I like this video but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6yDVN5t1vw
Nothing wrong with an auto!!
There is when your driving an N/A when it drop's down gear's when you dont want it or when it's in a higher gear when it should be in a lower gear. Nothing pisses me off more then a auto. Had a few bush bashing car's what have been both auto and manual. Manual's are more fun to drive imo. Rode dirtbike's all my life so ive alway's had manuals...
What is this VL Turbo having so much power thing everyone's always on about? Aren't they like 150kW or thereabouts? A standard VS Exec V6 has almost that and theres rarely an objection to anyone driving those for a first car.
VL Turbo should be comfortably nippy but it isn't as legendary in stock form as many think...

Yeh apparently stock VL Turbo's are slow... Dont know.. never driven one. But most VL turbo's are far from stock.
think that must be where all the hype comes from... they respond to modification like nothing else
but stock? *yawn*
Also a reason that the government's "high performance car" restrictions are poorly implemented. Not allowed a VL Turbo but ARE allowed a VS V6, even though they have about the same power... odd! I wonder if Alloytec powered cars come under "high performance" mmmmm?
oops off topic! sorry![]()

It is just that Turbo word that scares them.
stock t3 with zorst runs a 15.6 @91mph
with a 2.6 60 foot but auto....should give you some sort of an idea![]()
