Hey all
i urgently need some advice about my Vl wagon.
A few weeks ago i noticed the dreaded milky sludge in my radiator...and under my oilcap. naturally i thought it was my head gasket. So last weekend i changed the gasket, new oil, flushed the radiator with new coolant etcetc. Today i open my oil cap to see more cream coloured sludge underneath it. I have no idea what this could be. Obviously the oil is mixing with the water somewhere but i have no idea where it is![]()

possible corrosion of one of your oil/water jackets in the head, possible warped heads..plenty of possibilities. Cant tell you over a forum mate.
VG ute, 5.0lt, 5spd, twin exhaust, cam etc.
VQ stato, 5.0lt, auto, pretty stock
TT Soarer, 400rwhp, 5spd, lots of mods.
is the cream back in the radiator too? did you give the engine (oil flush treatment) a flush? is your radiator level droping? I don't disagree with the above posts but if u didn't flush the engine then there would still be water in there which would cause condensation build up on your oil cap.
Nobody wants to play with me
i havnt flushed the engine, but flushed the radiator real well, i also thought it coulld be that till i realised that my radiator level was also dropping.
A new head may be in order then??? or is there anything alse i can do?
damn right its a ****

Regardless of what ppl will say Chemiweld is a quick fix, but a great one. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
If it does, your laughing cause it cost you bugger all.
If it doesn't, then it doesn't..
If Leak in the gasket is small enough, you might be ok. Make sure you follow the instructions exactly.
It's worth a try buddy
Ex apprentice..
Try it as mates have fixed even cracked blocks with it...![]()
Do read the instrutions first..![]()
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!
RIP Peter (perfect) Brock....
If you didn't flush the engine, there is probably still water in there and it will leave the milky residue under the oil cap. After a couple of oil changes this will go away. I'm assuming you looked at the head to check for corrosion between your oil and water galleries. Get a pressure test done on your cooling system, this will tell you if water is still escaping somewhere, before you go buying other bits you may not need.
yer i skimmed the head for about half an hour haha.
ill look into the chemiweld thing and see how it goes.
cheers
if ya need a head let me know. i have a couple. one brand new (not recon) one. also other s/h ones.
cheers

chemiweld can block more than a leak............even using it as directed is a risk
