    Default wich colour turbo badge?

ok just bought 2 new turbo badges from holden for $28 and for the last 2 days ive been in the process of turning my stock rear end into a calais/turbo back end useing the good old pin stripe and clear top coat and though id get some feed back on what it looks like? also what looks better the red turbo badge or the silver? cheers!
p.s the black boot lip & side pieces of plastic that go around the lights have been removed to be resprayed and coated i know it looks a bit cruddy at the moment but when im finished will post the end result should look (hopefully) a million bucks

I just don't understand why it has to have a turbo badge? Might have to get a N/A badge for mine just so everyone knows.

You are going to cop a lot of flack having a turbo badge on an N/A car. My bro in law had a HT premier with 327 as his numbers on his plate. It was only a 186. He got ribbed daily. The stripes across the rear don't look too straight either. The GT fakers were at least respectable mock ups. IMO if you don't have what the image portrays don't do it.

p.s by the way the lines that join up to the centre garnish have been straigtend and trimed! what do you think look ok or not??

If you are fitting a turbo all well and good. And the stripes do look better straight.

Just had a look around at various turbo VL's. Wasn't the turbo badge on the right hand side of the boot? Also on the boot garnish, the top and bottom stripes aren't white. Then depending on what model yours is, the model badge was in the middle of the boot garnish eg: Commodore, Berlina or Calais. Just what I have seen, I could be wrong.

(OK you posted that up before I had a chance to type it)

    yes mate thats correct!
as posted i wanted something diferent and i dont know if you can see it in the pics posted but the top and bottom lines are actually a off white/cream i had to tape up the back end and paint them on. Then i did the rest with pinstripe and a coat off clear on the centre garnish! it probably dosent look that good in the pics but oddly enogh it actualy looks better in the flesh!

cheers fellas for the replys! i just got off the phone to an approved engine modification work shop they will do me a mod plate for my turbo conversion for $88 includeing tranny diff brakes ect.. but one prob i have is that i was wanting to replace the front seats with a set of Autotecnica 5 point raceing harness seats but they said that its illegal to use the 5 point raceing harness if there is retratable seat belts in the car the only thing i can do is put the seats in (thats fine can get that approved) but have to use the normal seat belt (sigh) oh well well see what happens....
